Houston Livestock Show 2012

We took a trip to the Houston Livestock Show and saw lots of animals. Alex was much more into this year than last year. He is getting so big and Tyler just wants to do everything he sees Alex do. We had a great time! Thanks Mr. Chester for the tickets and great parking pass!

Look at the horns on that thing....someone needs to saw'em off!!
In the picture above you can see a bunch of collector cards on the ground. As the kids went through the kid area they could collect cards with facts on them about the different animals or equipment that was on display. Alex loved collecting all the cards!

Playing in a corn pit is always fun!! They came home with corn in their shoes!

We watched some mutton bustin and Alex said he wanted to do it. Oh no...not sure I can handle that!

Pump It Up B-day Party!

Taylor and Jordan had a big joint birthday party at Pump It Up. Taylor's 3rd birthday is in March and Jordan's 1st birthday is in January so they split the difference and had a birthday party in February. My cousins (Chance and Reagan) and their parents (Jim and Sandra) were in town for some appointments they had in Houston. My grandparents (Memaw and Pawpaw) were with them aswell so everyone got to come to the party! It was nice to see everyone at the party and get to catch up a little.

Oh we're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz!

Alex loves Madison! She is one of the youth from the church and she babysits for us! Alex and Tyler both get excited when Madison comes over! Madison is very talented in many ways! She recently played Dorothy in the play The Wizard of Oz. Bryan High School preformed the play at a local theatre and so we decided to take Alex to see it. I was not sure he would sit through the entire play so we were prepared to leave early if we needed to but Alex did great. Everytime Madison got out of site Alex would say "where did Madison go?" It was pretty cute. He sat and watched the entire play! The entire cast did a great job! They actually had two casts and Randy and I went to the evening performance to see the other cast perform. All these students put in lots of hours of rehearsals and set design and costume design and who knows what else but both performances were sooo good. The set crews did great, the music was great, acting and singing was great.....I could go on and on but you get the point! Can't wait to see what they do next year!

Visit with Mimi and Papa Ed

In January, Tyler and I took a roadtrip with my Mom to visit my Mimi and Papa Ed. I only got these two pictures from our trip. Papa Ed seemed to be doing well. Since then he fell and broke his back and had to have surgery. He is in a rehab facility now and doing better. Mimi is at the nursing home and seems to be doing about the same. She has good days and bad days.

Tyler got some new shoes on this trip because when Mom picked us up in College Station on Friday evening I had the great idea of having Tyler already in his PJ's but I never put the shoes in his bag! Ooops....! The only place to get shoes in Whitesboro was the Dollar Store! Tyler loves them and wants to wear them everyday!
