long time no post

Sorry it's been so long since an update. We have not done much over the past few weeks. Last Sunday Alex scratched my eye when we were playing and so it is just now healing up. It felt like sandpaper on my eyelid for about 3 days and I have been out of work all week. Last night Alex started getting a little sick and I started to feel bad too. I think we may just both have the crud that it going around.

I have pictures from the last couple of weeks I will post soon. I had to get a new camera because I stepped on my other one and broke the lens...as soon as I get the new camera loaded on the computer I will put some of the pictures online. Hope you all are doing well!!

Meeting with Amanda and family

Today we went to New Life and met with Amanda (Alex's birthmother) and her family. It was really good to see them again! We had not seen each other since the hospital when Alex was two days old. We hope to see them all again in March at the New Life Picnic...if not sooner.

Amanda loves to paint and painted this great picture for Alex after he was born. I think she did a great job! It will be something that Alex will have forever!

Fishing

Our friends, the Medema's, have this great pond in their backyard that is stocked with catfish. We love to fish there because so far we have always caught something!! We took our first fishing trip of the year on the 1st.

Rachelle and Alex! Rachelle entertained Alex most of the time while Randy and I fished. Thanks Rachelle for letting us fish in your pond!!

Randy caught some fish too but his were all small so he wouldn't let me take a picture of them. All together we caught about 8 fish...about 5 of them were pretty small. We put them all back so that we can catch them next time!

Our friend's daughter, Josie, turned 3 on the 30th...so we all went to Incredible Pizza Company to celebrate!! We bowled, played arcades and ate lots of pizza and ice cream.

Texas A&M Basketball

On December 28th we took a trip to College Station for the evening. We ate dinner at Chicken Oil Co. and then were off to see the Aggies play Sam Houston in basketball. A few other families from our church all went to! We had a great time and the Aggies won!!
