Aggie Baseball

Today we went to the aggie baseball game vs. texas tech. Originally the game was scheduled for 2:05pm and because of weather it was moved to 6:35pm. It was FREEZING cold and very WINDY (at least the rain had stopped for the day). The thermometer on Kyle Field said 37 degrees and the thermometer at Olsen Field said 40 degrees. Either way it was very cold. We left after the third inning and on the way home they said with the wind chill it felt like 30 degrees. We had fun though and got to see some friends from Magnolia and my sister and her family came for the game too. I have never seen Olsen Field so empty. Not many people were willing to brave the weather!

The Houston Zoo

On Thursday of spring break we went to the Houston Zoo. It was crowded (as expected) but it was still enjoyable. The weather was beautiful and we went with some good friends so it was nice be able to spend some time with them. Alex loved all the animals and got to ride on Randy's shoulders most of the time which he also thought was pretty cool.

Livestock show

On Wednesday of spring break we took Alex to the livestock show in Houston. It was PACKED with people everywhere. The lot for the parking pass we had was full and we had to park across 610 at the old Astroworld site. Alex enjoyed walking across the bridge! I found out on Thursday that Wednesday was half-price day for kids or something...no wonder it was such a madhouse. There were lines for everything and you couldn't tell where the line ended for alot of things. We didn't stand in any lines and were only there for a short while before Alex was ready to go. A short nap in the car on the way there didn't last. We had fun though and Alex enjoyed looking at all the animals.

Playing in the dirt

Alex loves to be outside...and he really likes to play in the dirt. While we were at Nana and Papa's house during spring break Alex got to do both of his favorite things, play outside and in the dirt. Today he came up to me and said "Nana's house?". I think he wants to go back!!

Walking in my shoes

Alex was pretty proud of himself when he put my shoes on and walked around the living room. Although I do have small feet (and he will probably have bigger shoes than me by the time he is in 2nd-3rd grade) I think he did a good job by not falling!!! Enjoy the video!
